Donor Tissue from Overseas

In Japan, more than 1,400 corneas are provided for transplantation per year through 54 eye banks. Yet, approximately 20,000 patients are in need of cornea transplantation.　To supply the need, we acquire corneas from eye banks in America to distribute them to medical isntitutions

Only those corneas that have been met the medical standards of Eye Bank Association of America(EBAA) are provided for transplant surgeries in Japan and the donor and recipient data are documented and stored properly in our database.
